Raised in the Upper Midwest, I left home at 18 to join the Military and experience life in Europe.  It was there that the notion of what one can do with the simplest foods to, in essence, transform them into Super Flavor Power pills.

I grew up on a farm, was raised by a family who had their own chickens, cows, goats and lambs.  We made cheeses, went hunting/fishing.  Had a massive garden.  I never realized how lucky I was.  How much a good meal meant in the format of community, of sharing.  I was spoiled at a young age by down home rock solid country food.  Not knowing all the while as my Grandmother kept me busy making cookies with her in the kitchen, that she was priming me for my lifes calling to become a chef.  Her meatloaf was the stuff of legend.  Her pies, could make you cry.  She made her own yogurt, goat cheese...

When I went to Europe I experienced foods that I never imagined possible.  I was hooked, hooked! 

To me eating well is the true essence of living.  The Greek Poet Homer stated the art of living so simply and so eloquently thousands of years ago: "Dear to us ever is the banquet and the harp and the dance and changes of raiment and the warm bath and love and sleep."

For me true living is all about the intricacies of simplicity.

I will cook whatever your heart desires.  I am a veteran of some ofthe finest restaurants in the USA, having worked on both coasts, and also in the Midwest.  I feel that I have a pretty decent take on all sorts of food.  Yet there is so much more to explore.  If you are feeling adventurous, I would love to feed you something special.
